Macarena joined Shine Group (A Banijay Company) in July 2011 and launched the company's operations in Spain and Portugal. As an executive producer she has led some of the most successful formats in both territories: 'MasterChef Spain' (two Ondas awards, the National Gastronomy Award or Iris TV Academy Awards), 'MasterChef Portugal', 'La Isla', 'Me Resbala', 'Maestros de la Costura', and its Portuguese version 'Cosido a Mao', 'The Voice Portugal', 'D'Improviso'... In recent years, Shine Iberia has expanded its catalog with the international talent 'HairStyle the Talent Show' and with the production of the documentary series 'Generación Porno', 'Generación Click', 'Bosé Renacido' and 'Alaska Revelada' or factuals such as '100% Únicos'. The series 'Bosé' has marked her return to fiction, achieving great success in Spain, Mexico, Chile, and the United States.

In 2008, Macarena was general manager of BocaBoca Producciones, where she developed projects such as '21 días' (Ondas Award), 'Pasapalabra', 'Conexión Samanta' and fiction series such as 'Raphael', 'Carrero Blanco' or 'Vidas Robadas'. Previously, she performed similar tasks at Drive Group with productions such as the musical 'Hoy no me puedo levantar' or the documentary '72 horas: del 11M al 14 M'.

She was also general manager of the production area of Canal+ Spain, content director of Telefónica Media, and purchasing director of the Telefónica group (Antena3 and Vía Digital) as well as responsible for the selection of content and assets of the pay-TV platform Vía Digital. Macarena studied in San Francisco (USA) and holds a degree in Business Administration.
